My new de-modification (sorta)

Well I spent all day last Saturday de-modifying my car... My flex pipe was leaking and since it had been welded in, I decided to remove my custom y-pipe & test pipe and put in the BAT kit with the high flow cat. I know this seems weird, but I intend to put a full exhaust system in later (headers & cat-back) and for that, you pretty much need a main cat if you dont want it to sound bad. So I'm planning for the future.

Here is the new piece (sorry, no pics off the car or during pics):

And here is what came off the car. Notice the carbon build up on the flex pipe from the leak.

The car is a little quieter but alot of the noise was because of the leak.

And you suggest what for a Y pipe that has no flex between it and the motor?

i dunno, i just hate flex pipe, mine looks like and animal tried to make a nest in it.

lol maybe yours is busted..if you get headers and etc, you need a flex pipe..
