car missfiring

I have a 96 contour 2.0 auto. The problem i am havin is that the car is like missfiring well ideling to the point of stalling.(Stalls sometime when i put in gear). Cleaned the iac,changed pcv, got good spark and fuel maf is clean. When i rev the car up abit it clears up some but as soon as u let of gas it goes back to running bad. Any other ideas what it could be. Spark plugs and wires changed several months ago and new fuel filter.

discover the reason for my car acting the way it was because the flexplate is broke . i replaced tranny once and the transmission works fine but i would like to know if anyone would know if it would be easier to pull the engine and all out to replace the flex plate or drop it all out the bottom. i don't have a hoist so i was just wonderin if it would just be easier and faster to do either way.
