Recently, i thought of something that i could possibly add to my new ride. I would have a series of LED bulbs (dont know which, as i have never done this before) under the two seats in my car. They would be hooked up to the speakers in the car, and when the speakers hit the leds would lighten up. I found an example of this but for computer speakers. Would it be the same concept?

Its a bit of a long video, but you can skip ahead.

Thanks.

A little more searching came up with this : http://www.urban-neon-car-lights.com/car-lights/street-glow-music-control-module.html would that work with single led bulbs? Wired together, of course.

Is this really the trend in audio these days? More show and less go? Why would you want the bottom of your seat glowing to the music? If this was a trailer queen show car I would understand, but its a '96 contour

I don't drive a contour, i drive a nissan. And its not like they are going to be all over the car, just in certain spots for "show"

Find the voltage rating of each LED bulb. Say it's 2 Volts for example. That little street glow unit most likely controls lighting with a 12 volt signal.

12/2 = 6

That means you can wire up 6 LED's rated at 2 volts each, in series, with no resistors, to run off of that module.

Well i guess i need to find something that can handle more, as i was planing on doing more than 72 Led's in all.
