lets get some good information together here about spec clutch failures.

lets keep discussion out of this thread and post only the facts.

post what clutch you have, how many miles where on it when it failed, was it making any noises, etc. post any pictures you may have taken of the clutch also.

The idea of this thread is to document failures to show to Spec.

So I will start

clutch kit: Stage 3+
engine: 3L turbo
break in period: 1k miles
miles at failure: ~7k
Noises: since almost the beginning I have had a squeak at idle with the clutch out. when it started acting up I was getting a spinning/grinding type sound with the clutch pedal on the floor. letting up slightly on the pedal made the noise stop.
Symptoms: could not shift gears with engine running. start engine while in gear and clutch would work.
Reason for failure: springs came out of clutch hub

clutch kit: Stage 3+
engine: Full 3.0L
break in period: 500-1000 miles
miles at failure: ~7k
Noises: Almost no noise at all. I did have trouble downshifting at times, but I think that was because of the broken tranny mount bolt. Just one day, I pushed the clutch, went to shift from 3rd to 4th and it wouldn't go.
Symptoms: could not shift gears with engine running. Engine off, you can shift just fine.
Reason for failure: 99% sure the springs came out of clutch hub...shop came to the same idea without me even suggesting it.
pics to come soon

you guys it doesnt matter if you have 10hp or 10000 hp spec clutch design is WRONG!

they stamp that piece of steel, cut a hole, and bend out two tabs which are expected to hold the clutch springs in? WTF!!!! idiots, pure stupidity. Even the open window design of the clutchnet disc prohibits the ejection of the springs.

CLUTCHNET CLUTCHNET CLUTCHNET lol!

*mine was at 46k miles on the clutch it finally let go. no LSD, saw lots of nitrous and a N/A 3L
