Lowest miles I've seen in awhile!

My 99 has 43K. I've changed oil and brake pads.

And I don't care what KBB, Edmunds or NADA says what my car is worth. The only way to keep the prices from falling further down is to keep from selling them so cheap. I guess that's why mine hasn't sold. Damn lowballers.

The sad thing is.....thats rare.

I don't see many low mileage svt's anymore....someone on this site has a 3,400 one...i see it in his signature all the time.

I paid over KBB for mine when I bought it last year. i figured finding a low mileage (43K at the time) one- owner T-green wouldnt happen too often. it now has 53k on it. KBB says 6,500 for suggested retail. I would probably take that in this economy, but at this same time last year i paid a bit more than that....

That is pretty low miles, one of the lowest I have seen in a while for sure. To the right person it will be a great deal. I paid well over kbb when I bought my 00 with 2100 miles last May. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

When was the last time you saw an clean stock SVT successfully sell at or above KBB?

I buy & sell cars on the side from my FT job.

Mine is a MY2000 and has 90k miles, stock/OEM. Since I bought it I've replaced the following:
Tires
Struts
Alignment
The entire front end suspension parts (tie rods, FSB bushings & links.)
BAT RSB with new (upgraded endliks, mounts, bushings).
Upper intakegaskets & MAF sensor bc of CEL.
And I'm the 2nd owner, the PO took great care of it!

I could & will sell it eventually and will make $ on it. There are not allot of CSVT where I live.

If this description is true here is a low mile one with a good price.

That's if the discription is right yes

I bought mine at the end of December of last year with just under 52,000 original miles and gave five thousand for it. It had a few minor things wrong with it... the most expensive thing I've replaced were the headlights. It has some minor dash warp and I've been trying to figure out how I want to go about fixing it.

A couple friends of mine thought that was too much money for it... I thought it wasn't a bad price at all given the cars are rare and it had low mileage on it.

I've got a 2000 with 94,000 miles on it, and the only thing I've had to do in four years is to replace the fuel pump, and that was only because it was one of the POS returnless ones.
Does the Duratec and Zetec have the same fuel pump? I still can't believe how my car would start choking out when making a left turn with less than a third of a tank. Ford should have done a recall for that.

In case you haven't looked at your maintenance schedule lately, your timing belt is due at 100K.

I don't have a timing belt... :nonono:

I put one of my 99 Tropic Green SVT's up for sale April last year for $10K. Lots of interest, but no takers.

20K miles, new tires, front control arms, sway bar bushings. I ended up replacing the rubber parts due to dry rot - the car had been stored in the first owners garage un-driven for many years.

Unbelievable condition inside and out - especially underneath in the engine, exhaust, and suspension where you normally expect to see some detrioration (not here - just clean, shiny parts)..

As close to a "new" CSVT as it's possible to find. I posted dozens of detailed pictures, including a bunch on jackstands with tires and dust shields off (after bushing replacement).

CSVT collector interest, at least for the best condition cars, is fickle at best. I think most people simply see the SVT versions as cheap entry level cars.

Anyway, I ended up putting over 6,000 good-weather miles on that car last summer - so I don't regret selling it one bit.

Now its sitting covered in my garage and I notice my wife has stored boxes of goodwill donation stuff on the hood and roof this weekend

Time to pull it out and either start driving it again or sell it.

I remember this thing being on ebay it was a great looking car but there was no way I had 10 grand for a car. It definitly looked worth it. I would be interested if it were up for sale again but I think that it is to nice for a daily driver like I'm looking for. I always wondered what happened to that car glad it stayed on the site.

Did you ever post any finished pics of your 3L monster? I recall you posting pictures of some progress, but no finished pics!

I was in the same situation...car had 53,XXX miles on it and I paid about the same from a dealership. I thought it was a fair price for a nicely maintained car.

Never updated this thread but my brothers saw this car at a local show this summer where the dealer brought it with a for sale sign. They said it was nice but not as clean as expected for the miles.
