Help with removing atx shift knob

I'm trying to remove the atx shift knob to get the center console out. I got the little hex head screw but it won't budge. Am I missing something here? Couldn't find anything searching. Help please!

that's all it takes to get it off, that and some elbow grease. Be careful not to rip out the wires for the OD switch.

It needs to be in the neutral position to lift off.
