What have people mistaken your svt for?

Everyone that sees it in my driveway always refers to it as a "PILAJUNK". I quickly remind them that the proper pronunciation is "FORD". They get the two confused a lot
 
I usual just have people ask, most keep to themselves in this city but a few will say "hey, what kind of car is that?" Had someone pull up next to me while driving and roll down the window and yell across the lane at me, I was like WTF? Easy there buddy its a Contour. :cool:
 
I get told all the time i have a nice taurus or escort. Its really annoying.

I also got told one time that it was a nice focus..

When a car gets only six model years, sadly anyone who doesn't either follow cars or owned one/know someone who owned one, isn't going to remember it. :(
 
I was at autozone last summer and one of the employees goes "nice Kia! that thing got a turbo?" I tell him it is in fact a ford and then he tries for a "oh, escort... nice" he then was close to arguing with me that ford never made an svt contour. At the same autozone another charicter tried to tell me bosch products only work in german cars:nonono:. autozone FTL
 
I think i started the last one????? Anyway a car full of girls pulled up and was like what kind of car is that, i replied an SVT. One of them said a Buick right? lolol

When my girl was driving a gas pumper thought it was a subaru......

And the best was when i got a speeding ticket going to the coast, on the ticket the cop wrote down, 99 ford 4 door SIV:shocked:
 
sable mostly. Mystique is debadged cept for the mercury insignia in the middle of the trunk reflector and on the grill. Most people don't even know what to think, I usually get "what the hell is that and what have you done to it". It's a mystique and it has exhaust and an intake. Best is when people think its a lincoln continental, happens often too since the hoods look similar.
