Shift Cable Adjustment Guide

Hmm all this talk has me thinking a little adjustment might help with the little bit of play I have. Of course swapping out the rear mount this weekend may help with that "vagueness" too. Its nothing as bad as I was used to on the mazdas where it used rods and bushings that loved to go bad but still got me thinking.

Adjusting your shift cables can make a huge difference! To me its a necessity everytime you pull the trans or engine or both. The tool is the only way to do it properly, because you can press in both buttons, and get your for aft adjustment as well as the side to side!

Hmm - my motor and trans have been out together twice and the trans came out on it's own once. I'm sure I just need an adjustment :crazy:

Well nothing has ever changed on my car so maybe the rear mount putting the tranny in a predictable place will solve everything for me.

It helped me - but I still need an adjustment.

A solid front mount isn't kind on a stock rear...

My filled rear mount goes in tomorrow morning so I'll know pretty soon. If it fixes the shifting issue than I'll hold off on changing the fluid, looking at adjustment and playing with a short throw shifter.

Edit: Well the mount is in now and yes the engine isnt moving around but I guess I'm not used it. It seems to be idling higher than it was before but more time on the road will tell I guess.
