So I finished up my 3L swap and the car turns over really strong, but will not fire. I have fuel pressure, injector pulse, spark, compression. Timing maybe, but am not sure, i may have the crank position sensor pickup wheel off by 180 degrees. I am not sure, has any one that has done the 3L swap ran into this problem?

sounds like it could be a pulse wheel that is installed wrong. I believe in that case it will crank and all but will not start ...

Did you swap the pulse wheel or not? If you have an Escape/Tribute motor the pulse wheel should be left alone. If you have a Sable/Taurus motor the wheel needs to be swapped 180 degrees.

I hate reading things like this because it has been gone over 8,000 times or so.

Do you have a pic of how your pulse wheel is installed?
Did you look at other peoples pictures of them installed?
Did you search the topic to make sure you install it correctly?

Look what a search of pulse wheel brings up, lots of threads about "no start" conditions:

The pulse wheel

I figured that it probly was, I was just trying to figure out if ne one else had a problem like mine that didnt involve taking the front cover off haha... But I am pretty sure that tomorow when I get the Fcover tightend down and the crank dampener back on and check it with a timing light, that everything wil be correct. I rebuilt the motor from the ground up and i know how the whole thing is put together. And i didnt see the other descusion fourms about my issue. Thanks for the support guys.
