I now have broken 2 Contours in my yard. I have a 96 4 cylinder auto with a bad engine. When I changed the head gasket I must have gotten something in an oil port and now have a bearing knock and metal in the oil.
Then this weekend my daughter smashed up a 98 automatic. At first glance did not look too bad but the inner fender is damaged enough to move the motor mount and the shock tower out of place. If it was just the radiator support and maybe the front to the inner fender I could fix it. To bad too, because this car was nice. I had done the disc conversion; Focus 17inch wheel and the BAT cross over pipe on the exhaust. And no damage on the car.
So now my question. Can I put the V6 from the 98 in the 96? I realize I have to use the 98 computer and axels. Anything else that would be of a concern? Maybe I could get one car out of this.
