Another story of people who have too much money. This guy who is friends with my boss at work owns a Remodeling Co. here in Kansas has this TT Viper. I've heard stories of this car and only seen it one other time around town till yesterday. I was doing my usual at work when I hear this crazy sound like a damn jet plane! so I turn around to see no other than the TT Viper that I've always heard of, but not yet seen up close in person. It was in for an Oil change and plugs/wires. I called up my roomate, who also works there and told him the Viper was in and to bring the camera. The first pics were taken with my phone and of course the only one I could get of the motor was taken with my phone as well. By the time my roomate got there it was out of the shop already...:nonono: Anyway's the owner bought it stock, then sent it out to Under Ground Racing Co. in Charlotte, NC to get built. The car puts out 1200hp and from what I've been told at work from other guys, the owner has "only" been able to run 11's because of traction issues although I'm sure it's also a driver issue as well. Now for some pics, and a short video when the Old Balls Sr. Tech and my roomate went on a little test drive after it was done. We were all pretty disappointed he didn't get on it, but the owner was going to be there anytime so he didn't want to get caught... Sorry the low quality video from my digital camera doesn't do justice for the sound of the car.

If I brought my car into a repair shop and found out that there were 3 people riding around in my $100k+ car on a "test drive", without my knowledge, I would arrange to have them killed.

lol it was only two guys, the Tech who had to test drive it after the work he did and my roomate, who the owner told he would give a ride someday anyways but I know what you mean for sure!

I would feel the same way ^^

This guy has all this money, and he can't change the oil himself?

If I had that much money in a car, I would do it myself and make sure it got done right/

the old style viper looked much better IMO. and i love how people rag on the vette for interior cheapness when here you have a car that costs more and basically has a wall as a dashboard.

Having money has NO correlation with having car knowledge - on the contrary, he could so much cash that he'd LOSE money by changing his own oil. It's like the idea that it's not worth Bill Gates' time to bend over and pick up a $100 bill lying on the ground in front of him.

Putting more power in a car that is known for having traction issues pleases me. One of the guys that I see at the road course all the time has a Viper and he said he started drifting it because the Viper is gonna drift and slide no matter what you're trying to do.

A Viper at a Firestone...that's a first.

I've come to the conclusion driving through MO three times that the state gov. must be enforcing everyone in that state drive badass cars.

Just because the owner said he'd give your roommate a ride, doesn't mean that your roommate has a free pass to just get in and go for a ride with the tech. What an a$$! If I was the owner I'd say to your roomate "did you enjoy the ride? Well enjoy the ride to the unemployment line"!

Isn't this how those Cobra owners found out about some abuse of their car at a shop? Not very wise to post this sort of stuff on the internet... I believe those people got fired and the shop was sued. Now grant it there appears to be no abuse but I would have just left this post as... 'look at this sweet Viper that came to my shop'

Just my 2 cents.

who gives a crap about the license plate? do you know how many people see it on a daily basis just driving around? seriously...i never understood that. a big deal about nothing.

Thanks man, seriously there are alot of people on here that need to chill. I start a thread that is supposed to be a interesting topic, but end up getting talked :censored::censored::censored::censored: on for things they know nothing about. Mods, just delete, this is BS.:nonono:

Why do people care about posting their license plates? Because that plate is directly tied to the address to where they live! You need to step outside of your naive little box...

You could get the same information from their IP address if you tried hard enough.

Its a lot easier to get an address off of license plates. You dont readily have access to my ip address as a visitor to this forum, and even if you trace it, it just leads to sioux falls. I live in Vermillion, which is a small enough town you could find where I live by driving around for 15 minutes to half an hour, simply cause you would recognize my car and I park on the street. But, If I didnt tell you that, the address my IP would trace back to is the server in Sioux Falls. You would have to get the information from Midcontinent. Posting a license plate on the internet exposes him to more people than he sees driving down the street.

That being said, the viper looks nice. Noone ever came into my shop with something like that, I am all jealous and stuff.
