One clean SVT

That's kinda what I was thinking.
If any SVT with miles that low doesn't look like that, then there's a problem.
That said, it's still awesome to see something so well cared for.

True, although do you remember that baby blue 98 SVT that was for sale in cali last year? Thing only had 12k miles and it had that hideous paint, scuffs here and there in the interior and other little issues. Even with low miles, it was a car that was not looked after.

The car looks pretty clean from the picture. Now if you get 110,000 on it like mine, and it's still that clean (thank you Y2KSVT), then I'll be impressed.

In all honesty, I don't really get this car. It's a weird blend of low mile original stock, and mods. The wheels really just don't look right on a stock car, IMO. Either mod it, or keep it stock.

Very clean car none the less.

Oh...you didn't say if you were running spacers with your wheels. Do you know what the offset is? I have a set of 19x8 AXIS NE-O's that from what I've been told need 5mm spacers to clear the caliper.
No spacers are needed.

I know Mark took good care of his old car, I was interested in buying it for a while. I always loved that car.

Theres not much to get with this car. It has low miles, has a set of rims and has a sound system. Everything else is stock and never been touched or fiddled with. I have all the original stock audio parts and a new trunk liner incase I ever decide to return it to stock. I will never mod this car anymore then it is now. If I mod a tour it will be one with 100k+ miles on it.

WOW! That's original miles and everything? Impressive, my father has a 73' Mercury Capri he bought brand new and it only has 44K on it.
That is the Cleanest car I've seen being that old (I've probably seen cleaner or just as clean in person)
This Contour puts mine to shame, my Mystique used to be driven in snow/salt, and it has 89K on it right now sitting covered up in my carport.
Keep it up and keep it nice, if you sell it make sure the new owner does this same thing.

Looks like I'm going to try 235 then. From the pics 235 looks like it fits the wheel better.

I needed the spacers to clear the ksports on my car, not the caliper.

Ahhh...see I'm running Koni's with B&G so I shouldn't have an issue.

Spacers would make it easier to run 235's but you don't need too. The 225's were close enough to the strut so I never went any wider.

Aaron

So with spacers AND 225's your tires was still close to hitting the strut? Would 235 and spacers cause an issue with the tire hitting the inner lip of the fender?

Yes I will bet you will rub alot with the 235's. I had rubbing on the inner fender with the 225's when turning, the rear wasn't bad at all.

Aaron

Yeah, 235 or 225/40 are probably going to rub on the inner fender liners in you go over a big enough bump, or when you turn. Aaron doesn't have inner fenders (or at least he didn't last summer) so that might not have been an issue for him. My rear tires were all chewed up on the outside sidewall from rubbing on the fender of Bill's car before I replaced them. I think Bill only ran 3mm or 5mm spacers too. And he had rolled his fenders even, I believe.

Mine rub on the plastic. On Bill's car with spacers, they rubbed through his plastic, and tore up the sidewalls on the metal lip inside of the fender.

right, but that car just had a :censored::censored::censored::censored:ty paint job done to it

Mine still rubbed even with no fender liners in the front, and the rears are rolled and barely rubbed. The main issue I had with rubbing in the front is when I turned, even the 17's rubbed in the front when I turned as well and they were a 215/45/17.

If you're running 19's you're obviously not trying to break any speed records or do any road racing. Why put up with all the headache when you can run skinnier tires and not have the issues?

b/c the wider tire looks better on a 8" wide rim. I hate the "stretched" look. Even when the sidewall is flush with the edge of the lip it doesn't look as good IMO. Coming from a Mustang I just like the look of a meatier/wider tire that comes out just past the edge of the wheel. Also lessens the chance of curbing.

There are a lot of different combos/scenarios (spacers/no spacers, Coil over kits/no coil over kits, stock suspension, 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 etc.) that ppl have ran with these wheels that effect if some rub and some don't and if they rub the strut, or liner, or actual fender. I don't think anyone has my setup (koni's w/ B&G's) with these wheels so I'm trying to gather as much info as I can to make an educated decision on which tires to buy that will both not rub and also satisfy my tatse in looks.

The car still moves very well for having 19's on it and as I state before I get rub wiht the 215/45/17's the car had on it as well. Heck if I had the KDWs on the 19's I would have ran them on a track for sure :).

Bill (Starjammir) ran his car with B&G/Konis with the NE-O's for awhile before he had the KSport installed.
