Anyone interested in AutoX

I would not get behind the wheel of someones car to try and autox it. I'd be too worried I'd do some harm to it.

Thank you for the offer though.

If I was afraid of you hurting the car, I wouldn't offer. I just want to have some fun and try to get others interested in the sport. As long as you don't beat me, I won't have to cause any damage to you . My son beat me in the Mustang and I sent him to Iraq :nonono:.

I've never participated in an AutoX. So I'd be a little worried of doing something wrong and damaging the car in the process.

I don't know if you checked the link but there is no door to door raceing. You go around a course set up with cones and are timed. Best time wins.

As long as you don't act stupid you won't hurt the car. This is not drifting and there are no ebrake turns. Speed limit off the course is 10mph and they do get upset if you go faster.

You could even come out Saturday to watch and then try it on Sunday. You can ask for an instructor to drive along with you to give you some help.

Think about it. The car isn't new so I'm not too worried about it getting hurt.

I'd love to go out there, but this weekend isn't the best for me to go anywhere.

When would the next event be?

Next one is Sunday, June 7 at Park City Mall in Lancaster.

Maybe I'll show up at that one. Might even take a few laps around the track myself. ;) Or, better yet, take your SVO for a lap around the track. LOL! ;)

Glenn, you really can't do any damage. You may hit a cone and give the bumper a bit of a scuff but nothing that won't buff out. It's a lot of fun just riding with someone. Scary at times when you seem to be up on two wheels but exhilarating.
Where's Eric Ford when you need him? Damn, could that guy drive. :D

Guess your son won't ever try to beat your time again. ;) Has he returned safe and sound?

He did make it back but just left again. He will be back in November. I'll be going to Guam (that's his duty station) on Thanksgiving to visit him, his wife and my granddaughter.

Take some pictures for us when in Guam.
I'm glad he and his family are safe. :)

Maybe I'll see you on the 7th @ Park City.
