So, I got my new jackpoint cover and painted it. The color code provided by duplicolor was T-294 aka T-Red. 2 coats primer, 3 coats paint, 2 coats clear. Placed on vehicle, no match.

Q: Does the T-red that CSVT came with differ from regular contours. There is a dark T-Red. Thinking about trying that. I'll post pics in the daylight tomorrow. It's WAAAAAY off.
 
To get a good match you have to go to a auto paint store and give them your vin. All the T-red Csvt's weren't painted with one batch of paint. Each time they mix a color to paint the next group of cars, the color will differ slightly. If the paint you got is WAY off, then I'm say you got the wrong paint. The Dupli-color stuff I've seen is usually pretty close, but you can still tell under quality lighting.

Well there was listing of two t-reds. One dark and the other just plain. So i went with the regular. I am going to attempt the dark one when it gets warmer.
 
When I painted my front oval grille, and eyelids they turned out a little lighter. A Normal person wouldn't ever be able to tell though. You could try a dark primer, assuming that yours turned out lighter as well. That's my plan for when I get a splitter and paint it also.
 
I used the spray cans at advance from dupli-color to do a set of black jackpoint covers too, and the 344 Tred is what I used. turned out perfect
