Gasparilla

I watched it on the local news. I went last year and it got crazy. So the wife and I opted not to go this year. I heard it was even better than last year this go around. Did you fly in just for the event?
 
haha, yeah I did. My friends live right on bayshore blvd. in tampa where the parade goes down so it was a very solid excuse to visit for the weekend.

I'll probably be back next month for the Strawberry Festival/Kool & The Gang concert!!! yessss!
 
The strawberry festival is right around the corner from me. Pick up a FOCUS magazine, I used to work for the magazine. It will tell you everything you need to know about the event. The weather should be a lot better than whats its been.

All I need to know is that Kool and the Gang will be there. The festival part is completely secondary and not even really necessary for me lol.

Do I??? Of course...unfortunately they are mostly of me and my asshole friends dancing in the streets lol I'll see if there are any reasonable ones that I can post up.

Just saw a news broadcast saying Tampa police will be cracking down on public intoxication and public urination:laugh:

I didnt realize how crazy this last event was. So much fighting. TPD seems determined to make next years event a lot different including changing the parade route.

It'll never happen - they'll stick to more parking enforcement and towing cars and stuff.
 
my friends are moving out of tampa anyway...boooo! Man, that was such a money location!! There was a creepy ally that was designated by locals as a pee zone. I was kinda creeped out about it cuz an ornery old man was walking up and down it trying to catch people in the act or prevent it altogether.
 
Tampa is a cool place to live. I work two minutes away from ybor. That's where we always go after work. We also go to the casino a lot. That's close too. My family has a house on the water, so I have the perfect spot to keep my boat. I really like it here a lot. I did miss out on gasparilla this year. I'll have to try harder to make it next year.
