I can appreciate what he did to get the car into SEMA, but I really like the way the car looked when the guy first got into it, check it out!

That's pretty cool...but how will that look when he turns his headlights on?? :blackeye:
awesome car though!

I have seen the same done with the grill mounted fog lights on the latest mustangs, and those fog lights are huge.

Sadly I know a few people that run their street cars with no filter on the turbo inlet. I always bug them about doing an oil analysis just to see how much crap is getting into the oil and run back through the turbo core as well.

well... it's not the oil he needs to worry about... it's the particulate entering the intake tract

The part I worry most about is the turbo itself. I've rebuilt turbos for 2 of my friends and they both had impellers that were pitted and almost didnt polish up and balance. Not to mention how bad the bearings looked inside the center from dirty oil coking them up.

impeller is slightly cheaper to replace than say.... rebuilding your engine because you ingested a small pebble.

just a thought.

Holy crap, these guys are a few blocks from my house. I should stop by and ask if the BMW is a DD, without a filter like that.

Hey Shaggy, nice hearing from you again and yeah, go check it out for us and see what he says about the DD thing and how it filters things out:cool: Laguna Seca blue is my favorite color on the M3, although I'm a bigger fan of the E46, that car was/is sweeeeeeet:drool::drool::drool:
