Keeping Mice Away!!

I was actually thinking about a cat, but I would feel pretty bad when it froze to death. I think the moth balls will work, but I'm just nervious. I try to take the best care possible of my car and I'd hate for those little shats to ruin it.

mint oil , check the baking section at the grocery store / also if the do get in the will drowned them self in a bucket of water

so fill a bucket with mint oil?
nope they dont like the smell of the mint oil just dab some on a rag but if they do come in they will drown if you give them a five gallon bucket half full of water (nastier the better) .OK I had a 65 fairlane we were cleaning and left a bucket of dirty soapy nasty water on the floor in the back seat when we came back the next day there was a dead mouse in the bucket nice

I found some stuff at Ace Hardware, damn if I can remember the name, but it was a packs of ground corn cobs, peppermint and spearmint oil. I used those in combination with moth balls, haven't seen a mouse in my garage for 2 yrs.

how minty does your garage smell?

I'd imagine using mint oil will really leave a smell in your car. However drier sheets are not much better.

With that said I used dryer sheets in my Camaro and it seems to work with marginal success. I had a hole in my floor boards (which I found after the fact) and the mice still came through the hole even though I had dryer sheets everyone (total of 20).

traps and show no mercy ..... I have gotten ~20 mice since november 8th  so glad I will be out of that storage unit soon.

get a car jacket. You can lock the zippers shut so no one can unzip them.

Elky has used dryer sheets in the past. The mice decided to use the sheets as nest material.

the dryer sheets work for a few months...how ever if they are left in the car for a couple years, the mice will help themselves to them.
