TSS and VSS?

Can anybody tell me the part Numbers for the TSS and VSS? Are they the same thing (little confused)

I got this from NECO

TSS: 1S7Z-7M101-KA

I checked team ford parts and i got this

TSS and VSS are two different sensors...on the CD4E the VSS attaches to the top of the trans in back where the intermediate shaft is inserted, and the TSS is in the side of the trans, visible behind the driver-side wheel.

IIRC, the description for the TSS on teamfordpart's site was wrong when i bought it, so that might be it....best to just call Bill J. on monday and double check.

Vehicle Speed Sensor $45 (the one that controls the speedometer) is F5RZ-9E731-AC.

Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor $26 (the one that fixes "Bang Shift") is TSS: 1S7Z-7M101-KA. This comes out as vehicle speed sensor in the online parts order but it is the Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor.

Whats this bang shift business and does an idiot light come on for it. I'm just curious because my car seems to shift differently then my brother's SVT. Grant it I do have an LSD and he does not.

"Bang Shift" only applicable to automatics. Sometimes, there is no CEL or "OD off" light for cars with the "Bang Shift" problem.
