I was looking around the other day and I saw a CSVT that had the rear bench seat removed and they had replaced it with the same bucket seats that are in the front. The pictures did not show that much detail on them but they looked alittle shabby. I like the idea but if I do it I want it to make it look more like a stock set up. Has anyone seen this conversion up close to where they know how good or bad it really does look? And does anyone have any info on how difficult this modification actually is or even how safe it is. Any info would helpful.

Dave from Nebraska has this set up... I saw it in person and it looked good.. If you didn't own the car you'd think it came stock that way.

Here are some pics from the old forums, this was dpa43

That is the car that I saw. But I dont like the space in between the seats and around them at the bottom. I know that a fill in divider could be fabricated for the space between the seats and the trunk but how do you fix the bare metal showing and make it look good? And does anyone know where to get any info or CSVT seats by chance?

I tossed around this idea back in the day and had planned on molding some fiberglass and then painting it to fill in that gap. I suppose you could buy some matching carpet and use that too.

The best place to buy svt interior is either here on the classifieds or ebay.

Yup that would be my pics of the bucket back seat. I got lucky and a friend of mine that owns a salvage yard had an SVT that he let me get the front seats out of for 100.00 Im still working on filling in all the gaps and metal that is showing. Been kinda lazy lately and haven't done anything to it. Also grown adults can fit back there just fine. Im 5' 11" and I fit back there just great with enough leg room.
When I put those seats back there I had to do some cutting of the seat brackets as to where I will not be able to put them back together and reuse them as front seats. You will need to remove the seat rails also to get the seats to fit. I will see if I can scrounge up more pics and a quick how-to of what I did and let you know.

i'm pretty sure GTOPete did that as well

Pete did do it also, he did just the seat backs thou and left the rear bench. His idea is what gave me an idea for mine.
