Playing catch-up

mine has been sleeping alot, too...he's going to the vet next week. He's lost around 4 lbs in the last several months...we're thinking it's either diabetes or cancer, but he's only 12...

yeah some of them start to get skinny when they get old.
Don't be surprised if your vet says the cat has hyperthyroidism either.
$30+ month for the prescription to regulate that. sucks :(

yeah, we thought that, too...because he's also been vomitting a couple of times a week, we're trying a new brand of food that has a higher % of protein...so far, he's been able to keep everything down. We've read some bad things about dry cat food being too high in carbohydrates which leads to pancreatic shut-down and diabetes...all we've fed him is IAMS dry food, so we're a little concerned.

I hope your kitty is OK - most likely just gettin' older catching up with him . They both lost weight & their appetites changed as they got older . We lost one at 13-14 & the other stuck it out till about 19 .
