Hey guys , I'm Planning on ordering an Intake for my 2.0 Zetec Contour 5 speed manual,
can some one with experience point me in the right direction on which one to purchase? There are a few different ones listed on ebay , but i want to make sure i buy the correct one.
Thanks
Ricardo.

i made my own out of a honda civic intake bought at advance auto parts.

Just the opposite. It helps throttle response. You've been on here for as long as you have, and you don't know what an exterior plenum is?

Don't flex your muscles.

You have two choices. Leave the plenum which some people swear by or run the 90 degree elbow off the TB as i did. Either way is a winner.

does anybody read how-tos anymore? there is a stickie in this forum that explains how to build an intake for a contour for very low cost.

Maybe you should edit your How-To there Mr. Awesome How-To Writer. You provide ONE picture of (surprise!) YOUR car. This current thread (and the other threads where people ask about Zetec intakes) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> your How-To. At least this thread (and others) has multiple pics of intakes. There are many different ways to fabricate the intake for the Zetec.

We need a new How-To that contains all possible setups, including the Focus, Autozone, CTA, SleeperZ, etc., with pictures of each. Also, it would be beneficial to get measurements for stuff as well.

I could spout off a better How-To off the top of my head and you're complaining because "n00bies" don't know how to make an intake just like yours.

Not that we need more infighting in this thread, but I'm not flexing muscles. The external plenum is probably the most notable thing when looking inside the engine bay of a Zetec. That's usually the first question people ask, and it pops up all the time. What? You don't know what the external plenum is? Fire up that old search button and write me up a smart-ass answer!

ok, everyone in this thread need to chill out ...

and to the OP there is no straight intake kit that you can buy anymore. as many have shown there are a few ways of making your own out of various parts.

I was just messing around brother! Some people just don't frequent the forums as much as you and i.

i understand the whole concept, but looking into the plenum, it looks restrictive for higher RPM's. i do understand the quicker throttle response though.
