I've seen a couple mentions of people having 2.5L race cams. Does anyone know where to find them and cost, or are they strictly custom order?

CAT CAMS. they are a pain, and its not even certain that they will work with the piston to valve clearance issues the interference style timing systems retain.

Bigballedox on NECO had a set for sale (might have sold on ebay)

I would have bought them but no one can time them, i sure as hell cant

Don't bother with them. If you want, you can always get a set of svt or se and get the grind down.

you'd just have to press the gear off a stock SVT cam and find a common point in the cam lobe (highest lift point works) and match them up. the gears that were made for the cams are adjustable so a little trial and error after that would unleash the power. it would definately be a process though, taking it apart constantly to adjust the cam gears 1 degree at a time.

Wow man that sounds soo annoying. But if your dedicated to have a set of these things on yor car, i guess it would be worth it:shrug:

I'm a retard for difficult projects if they're unique and I can get a good deal on the parts. Didn't see any of these on ebay. Anybody know where to pickup a set for a decent price?

You have to buy them direct. I can only think of 2 sets that are floating around, and they could be the same set for all i know.

Your not going to find them used.
