Anyone using the 2.5 UIM/IAC and the TH plug? I noticed that the TH plug I previously used on my 2.5 seems to affect the 3.0 differently. Thinking I should enlarge the hole or remove it completely to see what it runs like that way.

Stock TB?
SVT TB?
65mm TB?
TB leakage? (Any TB mod can cause plate to not fully close)
Stock flywheel? (3L crank is heavier)
Stock tuning? (i.e including throttle hang to burn off fuel  )
Intake leak? Doesn't take much.

I run the TH fix, a custom tune, and SPEC flywheel. My throttle hang is non-existent.

I've got a full 3L and don't have that hose on my car and I've got throttle hang right now... Car stats in sig - I'm not sure what to do about it. I've cleaned the MAF, the throttle plates, made sure the cables were not binding and it still hangs around 1100 or 700 rpm..

Whatever - it doesn't really bother me.

Custom 62mm overbored SVT t-body with no bypass in the plate. Lightened (by 2 lbs.) SVT flywheel. Stock (96) tune-the SAFC3 is on the way.

I don't have throttle hang. I have the opposite as the motor seems jerky when letting off or getting on the throttle.

The lighter the flywheel the more "jerky" the throttle response. The larger the TB the more "jerky" the throttle response. Especially with the SVT linkage and its ramped up throttle curve.

Most people call this "greater" throttle response then "anti" throttle hang. When I just tap my throttle pedal my car "jerks" forward very harshly. My girl likes it, my boy says it's jarring. 1 out of 2 ain't bad. I'll work on the boy. ;)

With a stout 4.06 final drive and a crazy 3.42 1st gear any touching of the pedal is a bit harsh. When one magnifies this by lightening the flywheel or increasing the power or enlarging the TB it just magnifies the effect.
Personally I like it! Then again I don't claim to be normal at all.:cool:
