One retainer nut... or two

OK so a while back someone was saying there are two retainer nuts on the strut assemblies... is this true? Because I certainly don't see any in the service manual snap shot below? I know there are in the camber kits... but OEM what about OEM?

there is 1 nut that holds the whole assembly together, this is shown in the picture you posted. there is also 1 nut that holds the assembly into the car, on top of the top plate that is in the engine bay. this makes 2 nuts.
