looks nice, but I really don't understand why you would get something powdercoated that you or anyone else will really ever see?

He might let someone else change his oil once in awhile so they can look at it

the only way I can see this being usefull is if its a show car with mirrors under it so the underbody can be shown off, otherwise like I said no one will ever see it which sucks because it looks nice.

It was free, who cares

Mine is powder coated because it won't hold dirt and road crud on it like a rough OEM pan would. Someone will see it because I don't change my own oil.

Why not? Those oil filter practically seal themselves when you're around! You're an oil-changing MACHINE! I heard that you once did it 3 times in one day!

The metal is rough and porous on a stock pan - collects dirt and dibris easier. I don't know, shut up!

I'm tempted to do mine now. I would chrome it but it costs a lot more and would need more up keep.

thanks guys, havent been on here in a week or so, but id deff recomend Joe, did a very nice job on the oil pan, i know alot of yall will have the view that no on will ever see it, but its one of those little things that when the car is raised or someone looks underneath will spot instantly, im happy with the job, its like Joey when he did the engine block and heads powder coated, no one will really see the job but again its one of those little details that make it special :)

top job buddy

I have gloss metallic chrome. Looks like polished aluminum:
