Hey guys, yesterday I noticed that the linkage for the LIM butterflies was disconnected and that the bushing/grommet/clip what you want to call it was broken. Has anyone found a local source other than the Ford dealers? I found this LINK in the maintenance forum that shows a suitable replacement and I know that Crappy Tire sells this line of oddball parts but does anyone know if they carry this particular part? BTW these parts are about $12ea. at the dealers.

You can get similar clips at lowes in the nuts/bolts section... they have a few drawers labeled 'automotive'. I bought the real deal and had it break off in under 5 minutes so I would recommend using one of those R-shaped pins. (don't know what they are called) but I've been using one for months with no problems.

I'll check Lowes tomorrow, how did you get the cotter pin through the linkage? It's a little small to be drilling holes through.

Its this, not a Cotter pin. The real small ones work great... I'll take a pic of mine.

I'm going to have to do something like this. My car only made 173/206 on the dyno and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Opened up the hood a few minutes later, and sure enough, the front bank secondaries were disconnected. Glad I wasted the money on the dyno for that.

Heres how I fixed mine

I ordered the part from Ford and I still have it. While I was waiting for the part to come in I got some RTV gasket silicone and put a dab of it on the end of the linkage. I let it dry over night, to my amazement it actually worked and has worked for the last three months, amazingly it is still holding. Don't know how long it will last, but its still working.
