I dont know about everyone else but i've been noticing a lot of people lately with cars like Mustangs and Camaroes with wrong badging and it just makes my brain twitch. They will have GT or Z28 on them but they only have a v6, and it tells by certain body pieces and that horrible raspy sound that comes out that mock dual exhaust. I pulled into a gas station tonight and looked over to see 2 kids in a mustang "GT". They reved their car when they saw me looking so i answered back and all I got was the big googly eyes. After i got out it had v6 rims, the little ponie sticker going down the sides, and that awful rasp of a v6 with overly large exhaust.

I know how you feel. There's a local guy here who has a 2004 Dark Shadow Grey GT with a Bullitt badge on the rear. Saw him at a cruise in one night, and from what I heard from people who actually know him, he's told them all it is a 2001 Bullitt (like mine) that USED TO BE Dark Highland Green. (a Bullitt specific color) He told them he painted it Dark Shadow Grey to be "different". Umm... HELLOOOO??? DHG is a BULLITT ONLY color, and was in 2001 ONLY. (until the 2008 came out)

On another occasion, at the same cruise in, my buddies and me "confronted" him, and asked him if it was a real Bullitt. I could tell from a mile away (from various body and interior pieces) that it was NOT a Bullitt. The only "Bullitt" item about it was the badge on the rear. Needless to say, this clown said "Nah, it's a normal GT."

I think he just wanted the word "Bullitt" on his car.. since it's very close to bullet. The guy is a thugged-out, scrawny Mexican dude who always wears wife-beaters and Dickie's shorts with white tube socks and sunglasses on his head....at night. I suppose the "Bullitt" badge made him think that when people see it, they'll be like "ooh, he must be a tough guy!"

Gay.

yeah i'm waiting on some of these other kids that have been eyeballing mine with crappy beat up contours to put svt on them. Then i get to snatch it off :)

i've actually already seen the svt stickers on a 95 contour. he painted his stock wheels black and put a rice rocket on the back with a mailbox hood scoop. He actually tried to race me one night. His car has a homemade intake(PVC FTL). what else was funny is that it was atx zetec. He said i wasn't driving an svt, i made it up.

For me this is an unintended consequence of driving a 4 door that I really like. I have the 3L with stock exhaust, so its fairly quiet. The paint is about a 7/10. No real dings or anything just a 10 year old paint job.

Some tard will eventually pull up to me with something that sounds like a pissed off be-hive. I rev the engine, not really making much of a sound, and if he hears me he does the same (almost deafening).

The results are always the best when they have their girl or one of their bros in the car with them. Bunch of retards.
