Hi All:
Things have been giong well here, but this deep freeze is brutal!!
It's currently -29C and has been this way for 3 days so far. All day today with windchill it's been -38C (damn cold when you work outside!). :help:
Thankfully I own a Contour and it never fails to start! :)

The roads are hard packed with snow and ice, the city only uses sand and gravel on them so they build up quickly!!

Richard I wish you were here because the Nokian's are truly amazing tires it's like driving in the summer, but with a little danger.
I was driving speed limits today while everyone else was driving at 20 kph and I never once felt any sliping or sliding either accelerating or braking.
I did take a corner to fast and she broke lose, but when the sign says 40 kph for the corner in the summer and your doing 50 kph on bad winter roads,
who's really at fault. LMAO!

Now for the funny part!
Anyone ever had to change out the blower motor. I know it's under the glove box, but curious on what prices you paid.
Yup mine started acting up the same time it starting getting to -20C. Figures.........

Well bye for now and for those in Toronto or surrounding areas, go ride your bike or mow your lawn!!
I'll just go back to dealing with snow, -20C and lower temps and say winters comming to yah...............

Good to hear things are going well there Jeff. We certianly miss you this way. Happy our weather is warmer though.

As for the blower motor. I'm about to have to do something. I only have air on the 3rd setting of the Contour right now. Don't remember if that was a resistor or blower problem.

As I recall minus 29 is the least of your up and coming problems. You haven't even hit winter yet.

What is it going to be tomorrow +20? :D

Though I would love to seem some snow.. I miss the white stuff :(
Well that sucks to know........ :)
But atleast in the middle of January we could see +20c when a Chinook blows in!

I'm not sure why yours only works on the 3rd setting, mine makes very weird noises on all settings, but atleast it still works.
Sounds like the bearing in mine is dying a slow and painful death.

Glad to hear you're taking winter head-on, Jeff :)

At least you're using your Nokians a lot. It's been really mild here, and the only times they have been useful is in the morning when that layer of frost or wet dew is on the road surface. Needless to say, they are getting munched with my driving as it stays above freezing these days. Ah well, they are predicting some cold weather coming.

Oh...better make sure you got your block heater cord handy, no? :)

hahahah 32 celcius over here :D :D :D
Where are you because it wasn't 32C in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.....

Glad to hear you're taking winter head-on, Jeff :)

Yup I needed to use the block heater twice, car was much happier to start after being plugged in all night.
Not much need for winter tires on frost or dew, but then you eat yup your summer tires too......... :D

Actually, the summers on the old rims now are close to the bars. Plus, I need to get them eyed over to see if I have any dents in them (I'm getting odd vibrations again...and I want to see if my rims are still okay). The new Firehawks are being warmed in the basement awaiting their summer debut :)

Odd thing is I'm hearing the US is getting pounded as well...and I'm reading how some folks are ranting about bad traction with their "summer" tires...oi. LOL
