So how did you guys fare this weekend?
Any major problems?

We woke up Sunday and decided to drive to Dunkins for breakfast.
We didn't get far. The entire block of roads surrounding Burger King were flooded, including the entire BK lot.
We had to reroute and drive really far to get around the flooding.

A pond off the highway flooded and it was sending a steady stream of water toward that intersection. 10 houses were hit pretty hard.
People on that street couldn't even flush toilets because everything was so backed up.

Mike and I had to head to his brother's house for the day so we weren't able to investigate and take pics.
We snooped around Sunday at 8 when we got home, but it was dark.
Most of the water finally drained away from the intersection, but there was still a very steady stream coming from the pond.
Here are the pics I took (came out crappy):

amazing how much pavement eroded away!
It looks like it floated in chunks and got displaced yards away from where it came from.

We have fog......

And aren't roads supposed to be having large chunks of pavement missing? I know Mn is like that all the time. We had a sink hole about 2 feet wide and 3 feet deep form in front of our house this past summer.

I spat in the face of the storm by driving to the Bronx saturday morning to get a windshield for my merkur. Thankfully, I didn't see a drop of rain on my drive

not much to note here. the local pond was drained. how ever sunday it was higher then I have ever seen it. the CT river was also up but not as high as I have seen it once before.

the storm flooded my yard and breezeway like usual, and my roofs on the garage and breezeway leaked more than usual.
my speaker box that came out of the contour is ruined and my toolboxes were full of water.
grrrr

oops
forgot to upload Saturday's pics
In one of the pics, you can see that the water level was close to the top of the curb. It was actually higher, but I spent too much time marvelling at the river before I went to get the camera.

The white water parts you see are the waves flowing over the two storm drains at the bottom of the hill.
The one across the street now has asphalt piled up and deep grooves near the curbing. The drain on our side seems to be doing ok.

The entire width of the street was a river. Usually you see no more than a foot's width of water running down the sides of the road in a heavy storm. This was pretty intense!

My apartment is on the second floor at the top of a huge hill and the cars are parked at the highest point of the driveway so I'm always safe. I was not home all weekend.

NH flood management and project development planning (or lack thereof) amazes me. These floods are becoming increasingly common .. live free or die for sure.

Lisa and I headed out about the time Hanna arrived. We had a Saturday afternoon flight out of Albany and it started to rain lightly while we were on our way to the airport. It was raining much harder while we were waiting for the plane to get there from Detroit, which it did on time. We also departed on time at 4:30pm.

I had to take a roundabout way from work back to my dorm as there was about a foot of water on University Drive

Here in Merrimack some roads are still closed. I saw an entire farm's field had flooded in Merrimack I felt bad for whoever owns it.

Manchester seems to have gotten hit really hard somehow.

I was at a party saturday rain off and on then more steady in the pm, some standing water in the roads nothing big, woke up sunday and it was sunny took the contour and mustang out for a drive..survived Hanna pretty well .

No problems at my place since I put in some drainage a couple years ago. Basement/garage nice and dry. Of course, the kmart flooded again and I had to detour around rt 3 and 28 Sunday morning...
