Has anyone put a thing that tells it, that its cold and gives it more power?

If your talking about those resistor chips on ebay, those don't work.
Short story: It tells the PCM its colder out, dumps more fuel, car runs rich, and you lose hp. Unless your going to add more air, adding more fuel does not add more hp. Dyno proven to lose 20 whp on a Ford Ranger.

BTW, this is covered in the FAQs under snake oil. And FWIW, its nothing more than a 1 cent resistor you can pick up at radio shack.

No. I mean think about it. Does it even seem logical? People here get a dyno tune which they can change virtually anything from fuel curves, timing curves, etc and they pick up 10-15 whp. You don't see Ford installing them from the factory do you? Nope. Snake oil. Just like the Tornado you install in your intake.
