Under my car
I've currently got Bilstein Springline struts and the rear ones are starting to leak some. I'm thinking about getting BAT struts and I want to make sure my car's ride height won't change. I'm happy with the stance and don't want it to change unless it's a bit lower. I know there's alot of choices but without buying crap to save money, I'm thinking BAT is my best bet quality and money wise. If anyone has pix, I'd like to see them. Right now my Mirko is 3 1/4" off the ground in the center. I've learned how to drive with it on and I'm fine with it.

Horrible picture but you can see the height from the Mirko's skid plate.

Ride height is determined by the springs, same springs same ride height.

except the spring purch heights can differ between strut manufacturers, then that will effect the ride height.

example: ST200 struts, purch is one inch lower then standard contour struts: therefore any drop from a spring will be one inch lower then with the stock strut.

I'll have to take some better side by side pics to show the difference but

SeVT-T: Bat Struts and Eibachs
SVT: ST200 Struts and H&Rs

the SVT is defiantely a bit lower

I know Roger R had the Bil's and his car sat very high with BAT springs. I just don't understand why ppl keep saying the perch on the ST200's is different. My SVT sits no different with Koni/Bat than on my SE with the same springs and ST200 struts.

that is what I have always understood, but of course I have now been searchign the old forums and can't find any mention of it.

what I did find and thought was funny was Buddy Palumbo talking about the ST200 struts and if they only lasted 40k he would just get another set, well at near 50k they are still great . You said the same thing todd ...

now if I am not mistake the Eibachs and H&Rs have similar drops. I know for a fact that my SVT is lower as its hard to get under the jack up compaired to my Se with the same jack.

H&R's always look high in the rear to me. Can almost always spot a car with H&R. Most rake.

thats pretty interesting. to me the H&Rs are a level drop where as the Eibachs are lower in the back when compared to the front ...

i thought the H&R's were a 1.4 and 1.3 drop front and rear and eibach's were 1.2 front and rear i was gonna buy some eibach's...that sucks

What springs are available for Contiques?
Both sport springs and coil overs are available.
Brand /Model /Drop Front/Drop Rear/ Spring Type(Prog/Linear)
B.A.T./ Sport/ 1"/ 1"/ Progressive
Eibach/ Pro-kit/ 1.25"/ 1.25"/ Progressive
H&R/ Sport/ 1.5"/ 1.5"/

eibachs are known for being lower in the back though

I didn't know that...is it really noticible?

When I had the Eibach's on, my car was level even tho the rear looked lower. I tend to think the "rear end sag" that everyone talks about stems from the way the fender well is shaped.

But back on track, from a lack alternate input, I am assuming that my car will have the same stance with the BAT struts.

ST200 struts question

ST200 struts question

I pretty much decided to get BAT struts but now I'm interested in the ST200's. Brian said he thought they weren't sold anymore. Does anyone else have any input as to where I might find a full set of these?

ST's have been sold out for a long time. My SVT sat very nicely with Eibach's FWIW. Didn't have the rear sag. Some cars it seems do and some don't. It really seems hit or miss unfortunately.

My car with Eibachs. Koni struts used in both set ups.

Even spacing with the wheel wells.

BAT springs. Brought the rear up very slightly. Maybe 1/4" at the most I'm guessing. Bad angle I know. Crappy camera phone pic.
