does any body know of any good trans shops around the Chicago area?
or can anybody around my area do a trans swap/rebuild for a good price?

I'm not sure of any good ones, but I can tell you for sure to STAY AWAY from Advanced Automotive Inc on Wilson in Batavia. They SUCK. 4 days after getting our Taurus back from them it left us stranded in Des Moines with a tranny problem (keep in mind they just finished rebuilding it).

Check With Brian's Auto in Aurora, that's where I take my car for job I can't\don't want to do, not sure if they do trans work or not, but I bet he can recommend someone, 630-906-9878.
