fuel pump upgrade question

I have read the articles...got a question on something...

I bought a FSVT fuel pump and received it today....I bought it online and in the pic it had the entire Focus assembly pictured...

Well it cam in today and all that I got is the cylindrical pump....figures...:rolleyes:

I got one of these freaking things new in box already at the house...

I thought I was getting the entire assembly thats the only reason I bought it from them. I even asked for part #

nowhere did it say "pump only"

so do I need the whole thing or what? or can I drop in the replacement "pump"

Of course I am process of making them take it back....

The picture of the assembly probably said something about being the pump only but you missed it. Also the price should have tipped you off but have no fear because the pump is really all you need in the first place.
 
eh...no I didnt miss it...I re-read it more than once before I bought it....

I then re-read it again after I got it...

If all I needed is the pump that may suck as I got a similar one new in box at home already...from when I was going to upgrade my pump in my Cobra and didnt....

I will check and compare when I get hom...

and I have seen pics of "pumps" alone and with the housing that were priced similar so the price wasnt a dead give away
