Since the SVT is no longer my DD I can finally get to some much needed TLC and what not... I figured I would start with cleaning the UIM and LIM (plus new gaskets) along with valve cover gaskets while I wait for my BAT y-pipe from CTA.

@ 258K KMS, this is how the UIM and LIM looked...

Before - UIM

After - UIM (not 100% complete)

Still need to purge the fuel lines and pull the LIM for cleaning... Next thing from there will be the valve cover gaskets, as you can see from the pics, they need it! From there it's the BAT y-pipe and gutted manifolds then into the interior to remove the back seats and clean up the carpet.

Oh how bad i wish i had a DD, i would be doing the same. Good progress so far though, i'll be keeping track of this.

Yah, DD for the win :). Cleaning that up like you are will make it feel like a whole new car again. I would say about 3-4 hp back

you would think.

then you find yourself rocking in the corner saying, its only a 3 hour tour, its only a 3 hour tour.

Lookin good man, you will never belive what a differance a cleaning will do for power!

It will be kinda hard to tell just how much of an improvement the cleaning itself is going to make, since I won't be driving it until I've also installed the gutted manifolds and BAT y-pipe... But given how much carbon is caked on the intakes I could imagine it would be very noticable!

Edit: forgot to mention she's also getting fresh injectors as well. :)

Some more pics now that I finally go the fuel rail and LIM pulled. The new injectors also showed up on Thursday so there is a nice shot comparing the new and old injectors.

Looks like there is some opportunity to optimize the secondary intake butterflys.

This alone will make it all worth the work, note the injector holes on the old injector.

Not 100% but almost there...
