duh, what is wrong with people?

maybe the person was trying to make a buzz about the car and make it more interesting then it is?

btw I can one up that.

at a car show the other week I had a guy come up to me and ask my about my car and ctmystiques car. He said that he was a salesman in Florida and solds SVTs.

first comment: I didn't know you could get them up north:shrug:
my reply: most of are members are from the north ...

second comment: we had this one with black interior and it wouldn't sell because of the florida heat, etc
me reply: you mean midnight blue, there was no black ...
him reply: no it was black ...

then he said something confusing about colors.

final comment: about the one with black interior, it was a 97 or 98.
my reply: had to be 98 as that was the first year of the SVT ...

he was honestly trying to correctly and I just gave up.

I went to NAPA the other day and they looked out the window and asked me if my 3L was an escort. :nonono: I never once had a problem like that with the stock one.

Salesmen think they know more than they do. Back in 2003 when I was buying my wifes 03 F150 Lariet, I was checking out a new 04 Mach 1 Mustang on the show room floor. A saleman came up and starting talking about it and how it was supercharged. Even after I tried to correct him that only the Cobra was supercharged and not the Mach 1, he still insisted it was. It took me getting the sales manager to come *inform* this salesman he was wrong. Pretty sad when the normal every day Joe Shmoe knows more about a product than the person actually trying to sell it.
