Joe, I don't think claybar is going to fix this scratch... I filed a self police report so in case my insurance company needs it, I'll probably call them today, and if I have time I'll post pics if I remember to.... I just want to park my car there again tonight since I don't work, and sit in another tinted out vehicle and just wait with some people and kick the crap out of the punk that did it. Make a citizens arrest and get them to pay for my scratch f'ing punks! And of course we don't have cameras to catch them...

A claybar would just clean the surface. A random orbital polisher would certainly help though and in some cases make it totally disappear.

I do have an orbital polisher. You would just need to buy the compound for it..... your dad probably has one though.

that really sucks. Having Contour SVT along the bottom isn't helping you be low key FWIW. Honestly I'd remove it. Besides the fact that it looks pretty tacky.

Makes me ill looking at it. Unfortunately your deductible will probably mean it's still coming mostly out of your pocket to fix it.

i was able to polish out a bad key mark across my whole trunk lid with my DA. and it looked like yours. i could stick my finger nail in it. so try that before you shell out cash.
My cousin who did most of the repaint added it along with the writing on the side skirts. Gives the car a nice accent with the stock rims IMO...
Well I can tell you I didn't piss anyone off that night.... and I willing to bet on the latter of your statments... or possibly I pissed off the stupid little skaters that come through now an then since I park at the bottom of our steps which means they can't go down them without possibly running into my car... either way... still BS
I hope so... I'll probably have my buddy down home try to do something about it this weekend or have Joe try to do it... waiting on the self report I made to the police to come back so I have an incident report before I go to the ins..
