So there's a power lack on my 98 svt. I've check the imrc module and it seem to work great, the cable seem to be moving. Somebody told me that bad condition spark plug wiring will cause lack of power and indeed they are in bad condition. I feel missfire when I start in 2nd gear from a stop... Is it really possible that bad wiring spark plug will cause a "medium - big" lacka power??? Got bad nierhoff wiring... Cause my friend got a 92 8v stock golf and he owned me!!!! Ford racing 9mm wiring plug are really better than oem ford wiring??? 86 000mi on it and compression test is about 210lbs per cyl.

Umm...

I'm really not sure I fully understand your problem.

You say you have bad plug wires (I think) and then say you have a lack of power. Sounds like you should fix the plug wires (if you already know they are bad) and then go from there.

Anyone else have more information for him (or understand better than I)?
 
Yes my wire plug are worn but I do not understand how it can provoque a lack of power as big as I have... But I still hope is only wire pluge cause it's cheap to replace...
 
Change the sp wires. Then change the sp if it has not been changed in 60K miles. And gap it 0.054 inch.
