If I got a OBDII scan done and I do not have this code does that mean the drive cycle is complete and systems are ready?

If you have the scan (read) done, it should show which of the few systems are ready. Sometimes, some of the systems could also not be ready and the PCM not throw the P1000 code.

Yes, it should.

Any code reader that cannot read a P1000 continuous memory code needs to be junked.

The whole point of the P1000 code is to indicate whether or not all I/M readiness monitors have been completed.

well mine in the trouble code screen doesn't read P1000 but it does have a screen that tells me if all readiness tests have been completed ...

The one at autozone didnt throw the code, i inquired about system readiness and he didnt know what i was talking about.

Not sure what scanner they use, but if it doesnt throw a P1000, what can do to make sure the system are ready? Keep in mind ill probably have to show them how to do it. lol

Got it checked another place with a print out. "DTC Pending, No faults Detected" I assume that means all system were scanned, and nothing is found.
