glassing a few layers tomorrow.. then the endless hours of sanding, filler, and paint begin. Can't wait

BTW the tweet is aimed right, just not in the pics, it's not sitting all the way in.

criticism appreciated, first fb project

I'm interested in how you are going to approach the rear. Are you sealing it up or are you firing it into the door?

I was dead set on doing sealed kick panels but was convinced to do them in the doors.. i'm leaving the backs open and sealing the doors. IMO you'll never get enough airspace in a sealed door pod to get good midbass so i'll leave it open. tons of deadener is on its way as well.

only thing i have to figure out is the best way to mount ehm

Cool.

I'm thinking about making something similar, but I haven't found the direction I want to go. I know how I'm doing my trunk. I'll post pictures when I do it.

took over a week for my filler to get here.. now finally back to work.

This is a first for everything.. first time with fiberglass and filler, how am i doing :D

Anyone have an idea for paint? I was thinking maybe a glossy midnight blue. I was thinking pearl white would look cool too but I don't know.

I could always get a texture paint to make it look kind of oem but I hate working with that stuff :)

Nice!.. If you have a substage I wouldn't even bother with rear fill.
sub wont be in till late summer, hopefully. my old 12" was crap

i wired them up and did a quick sound test.. i'm not used to having door speakers this powerful, pretty much rattled my doors off. Thank God deadener comes in a few days

Thanks guys

looks really good, there is a company over here in the uk that make and sell some thing similar, but they don't have the tweeter.

Here are a couple of pics

I don't these would work. Or at least they would require some modding.
The door pocket there from the Mondy looks shorter than those on the Tours and if that is the case, other dimensions are likely to be different.

Maybe I missed it....what kind of speakers are those? I just installed some dynamat xtreme on my front doors for my Infinity Kappas; people think they are amped but they are not....yet  Sound deadener is your friend with these cars. Cheap rattley door panels ftl.
