Just thought I would check in and make sure that everyone made it back safely from Michigan. I will be heading out of the Mexirean's place at about 6am which should put me over there around 5pm or 6pm as long as everything goes well.

Guess everyone made it back or no one made it back... I arrived today after about a 12 hour drive. Sorry I didnt get to see yall much, I went to all of the "planned" events though...and was left wondering where the hell everyone else was. I dynod at 175.33whp and 151 wtq. I went to Milan and actually ran the car twice...my first run sucked arse because I over anticipated third gear and let out the clutch too early...sweet grinding noises of doom...that run I hit a 17.60 quarter mile which obviously isnt anything to brag about. My second run was better but I still only ran a 16.70 because I am too afraid to try and launch my car and I cant exactly speed shift with my trans. All in all it was a good time but I kinda wish we woulda went to Woodward since that is apparently where everyone else went. Sidetracks was frickin awesome though, got absolutely annihilated on beer and the burgers there were frickin epic.

Made it back safe and sound. Got back to my parents place to drop my brother off at about 5:30-6am can't remember the exact time.

I still think we need to organize a spring zing like event here in Minnesota. We've got a ton of performance shops with dyno's we have Brainard International Raceway that has a sweet road coarse and drag way not to mention University for cruising. Then there is always plenty of places to hold a car show at. I'm sure that we can arrange for any Ford dealer to host us.

Yeah...we should try and put together a North Central event or something. The only thing that would kinda suck about that would be that it is about a 2 hour drive to Brainerd from the cities...depending on where you start of course. Too bad we don't have any tracks that are closer. We could always try and see if DCTC would let us use their police course for an autocross event or something...

Made it home around 5:15 - everything was good. I'd like to see an event held aroudn here as well - the organization was pathetic and if it wasn't for the awesome CEG people I wouldn't even consider wasting another 12hr drive... The dyno turnout was pathetic and very little people went to the track.

Well...which track were you referring to? Waterford was prolly the only event that had a decent turnout. Milan on the other hand...four SVTs showed up and only two ran the track. Yes, I agree, the coordination wasn't the best this year but that was the collective thought of pretty much everyone involved...and it is best to leave it at that as to not hurt anyones' feelings. Next year is tentatively being planned for western Michigan and I guess that Gingerman is in the plans. Considering that half of the CEG population lives in the EGL...it was kinda disappointing to drive 12 hours to hang out at their home and only have less than a handful show up to anything other than the hotel and show and shine... I still had a pretty decent time over there, but I know it could have been better. I am on the fence as far as next year goes but I don't think it will take too much for it to be better than this year. It was kinda lame being that this was my first SZ and this is how it turned out...

Well that makes two for me with both times being no different.

I'll work on getting something together for Car Craft Summer Nationals. Then after that maybe we could do a "Summer Fling" or something lol.

Haha...sounds like a highschool date or something... That'd be cool though, we should definitely try and do something kinda big, even if it is only for one day. And you Iowans and north Minnesotans had better show! Or else Mike is going to engineer a disaster for you...be scared.

Hahahaha...gotcha good. Nice come back by the way. Hey, I just wanted to let you know that your superbly engineered seperator is working pretty good. There is definitely some oil in it and that makes me happy.

I can hide in the woods good. I don't need to be scared. I might be down for something bigger down there...just depends on the weekend.
