I was on interstate 78 when my clutch decided to go south. I was able to start the car in 2nd and nurse it off the highway and into a mall parking lot.

I can change gears only when the engine is shut off and there is no pressure from the clutch pedal. Can someone advise me as to the part number of the slave cylinder and where I can buy it because of course my extended warranty does not cover this part!

I would like to change to a Spec stage 1 clutch and flywheel as well. Please point me to the best place to purchase these parts.

I am taking this opportunity to install my MSDS headers/y-pipe that I have been storing for months. Any ideas of anything else I might want to do at this time.

Thanks in advance for you input.
Andy.

When the Spec goes out??? Are these clutches unreliable?

No, Spec clutches are great. He is saying miles and miles down the road. All clutches eventually wear out! Also, if your looking for longevity of the clutch, there is none better than stock! I have a Spec stage 1 and love it! I also have a lightweight flywheel which I would very highly recommend while you have it all apart! The flywheel makes a night and day difference. The best place to buy spec stuff is from "SVTCurevo" . I bought my stuff through him, and he has the best deals around by far! He was very good to work with and I got my clutch a few days later.... send him a PM for his prices! And good luck!

Just backing up what Reebs said...SVTCuervo is the guy to get spec products from. He'll get you the lowest prices anywhere and ships really fast. Great guy to do business with.

Thanks. I am going to install the Spec stage 1 and Spec flywheel. I also want to do the LSD but I haven't decided which one to buy, and finally I will get my MSDS headers and y-pipe installed as well. I expect the car to come out of the shop a little meaner. Any suggestions on an LSD?

Can someone tell me how to refill hydraulic fluid for the clutch? According to Ford my slave cylinder is leaking fluid and I need to refill until I replace it. Also if you can point out what fluid I should by it would be appreciated.

Andy.

It takes brake fluid. It uses the same resevoir as the brakes, on top of the brake master cylinder. There is a hose that attaches to the resevoir and goes down to the clutch master.

I have a Torsen and love it, but I don't believe they make them anymore (someone correct me if I'm wrong). So it looks like you have to buy a used Torsen (which is fine because it should never wear out!) or buy Quaife new or used.
