Not sure if anyone is interested but Friday, May 9th i'll be hading out to NYIRP... Gates open at 5:30pm racing starts at 6 for those interested!
 
I might just jump on that one... a few of my buddys have been wanting to see what there cars can do, and so do i... Is that opening day?
 
nope, they opened a few weeks ago...

Onimitsu from here and a few of my buddies will be going...

I'll be running but babying it, diff has to last another month then its torsen time... :D
 
yep i am going!! going to run the 99 SE!!!! going to baby it so MUCH!!! but still going to be a fun time!:laugh:

Haven't been to the track since the end of last season.

No need to baby it..just think the faster it breaks the faster you get new parts!:laugh:

I get out of work at 5 so I'll prolly be there around 6ish.

Yup I work till 5 as well... Goal is to be there by 6 but it'll likely be 6:30 by the time I get there...

I'm gonna be real tired by the end of this week... It's not going to be pretty, on the bright side I got a hot date on Wednesday and Friday is the first time my SVT goes to the track... :D
 
Do you know how much it costs to run? Im hard on cash right now so if its too much i probly wont go. I dont recomend working at an ice rink in the summer. i worked 7 hours last week:mad:
 
Ouch! That one hurts...

It's $13 to race or watch. So if you're going into the track it costs you $13 either way... Might as well make a run or two... ;)
 
Yea thats not bad at all. its just the gas that will kill me. Ill see what my buddies are doing and go off of that.
 
Assuming weather is still good, i'll be heading out there tomorrow night still.

I'm hoping to be out at the track by 6:30 although more likely closer to 7 depending on when we roll out...
 
Sweet, I still plan on heading out too, unless the weather is crappy or if I'm too tired after work..

Hopefully there aren't too many people there and I can get more then 3 runs in.:laugh:

Craig has been having some CEL issues with his car today so i'm not sure if he's gonna run it or not, but he's still coming...
 
Well if he wants I have a hand-held scanner, I'll bring it with and run the codes for him.(unless he already knows them) See what we can figure out.
 
P0174 is the code...

He's got a scanner too, he's been trying to sort it out since I last talked to him about an hour ago... No clue how he's making out, he seemed pretty frustrated about it so idk..

yea that's the one:mad: i don't smell gas, but i do smell a sulfur ish smell when i am driving.... and it runs fine...... i have cleared the code once before and it came back like 2 weeks later, i took all of the oxygen sensors connectors off and hit them with some contact cleaner.... cleared the code and took a drive with my code scanner and looked at the oxygen sensors and the upper front oxygen sensor looked a little lazy, so i am thinking that's the one that's bad:shrug: ....... but time will tell........ but i am still going to go and i am going to most likely run......:laugh:
 
Could be a bad sensor or a vacuum leak somewhere.
Bank 2 is the front or radiator side of the motor, so it'll be a little easier to work on.

But unfortunately I was too dead after a long day of work so I didnt get to make it out tonight.. Hopefully you guys had fun and I hope we can all go again sometime..

yea we had a good time!!! :laugh:



yea i think it is my intake that i was running that made my CELs come on, i have been running a K&N intake for a wile but then i put the stock on back on and no CEL light then tonight at the track i did 2 runs with the K&N on and i got the CEL light. so i am going to run the stock one for a bit and see what happens.......
