Just some questions for anyone running a catch can. I plan on adding one right after the PCV valve and possibly another from the air box to the T fitting. Do I really need that second filter though when there should be the small filter in the airbox already? Or is that filter not inside the SVT air box?

Yes and no. I mean an inline filter that separates the oil from the vapor leaving the PCV valve but I'm not talking about the oil separator that the manual shows the PCV valve connecting to.

If you're talking about the internal filter in an inline, compressed-air type seperator - no, I wouldn't consider it a necessity, but you're going to get better seperation with it intact. You should leave it in.

The filter that I THINK you're referring to is on the Zetec engines, so no, the SVT airbox doesn't have one.

Yeah I planned on leaving that filter intact since its high pressure/high flow and will be fine. As for the smaller filter the manual talks about thats good to know I wont have one to deal with. I'll take a look at piping my catch can in this weekend when the new AFE Pro Dry S filter comes in.
