Hi all,
I have a 98 SVT that had its battery drained from the stereo left on (not by yours truly). It takes a batter jump fine, and fires up right away. However, even after letting it run awhile, or driving it awhile (30 mins or so) it fails to start on its own.
The battery *was* pretty new before this happened . . . do I assume I have an alternator prob, or can a battery become a lost cause that quickly? I don't have my own test equipment so I can't test anything. I can't get it to a shop for a couple of weeks, and thought I might get some ideas until then. All constructive comments and suggestions appreciated . . .
