We'll be seeing a Blue Jay's game in September.
We're looking to book a reasonably priced hotel. We're mostly looking for a hotel that's within walking distance of a decent amount of pubs and nightlife.
It doesn't have to be close to the stadium.

Would anyone be able to recommend some bars or hotels that we should look into?

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You're gonna have a great time, Jays games are always fun.

The Sky Dome (it's now called the Rogers Centre, but I refuse to give in to lame corporate stadium names) is right in the heart of things. There's probably a hundred bars/restaurants within a 5 block radius of the stadium, so you're in good shape there.

I'm not too sure which hotels are a good deal, but there are several options nearby if you do a google search.

Some bars to check out before/after the game:
1. The Loose Moose - 146 Front Street
A sports bar type of place, it can get pretty busy/loud after games, but it's a good place to grab a pint:

2. The Madison (Madison Ave. Pub) - 14 Madison Avenue
This one you need to take about a $10 cab ride to get to/from the stadium, but they are the best patio bar in the city. If the Leafs (NHL) play the same night, you can get $10 pitchers. Good pub food if you want to grab dinner beforehand:

There are also the typical Jack Astor's & Kelsey's kinds of places if you stroll along Front Street.

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Novotel Toronto Centre is about a 20 minute walk, and it's usually reasonably priced. - link here -. There are some nice restaurants and bars (like the Bier Market) along The Esplanade.

Royal York Hotel is closer, but it will be more expensive. - link here-

Another option from chains is the Holiday Inn on King - link here -. It's actually right near the clubbing/bar area (if that's what you're into).

"The Black Bull" on Queen St, killer padio and beer/Food, like a 15 min walk from the Stadium. Have fun bro. Jays games are always a blast!

Thanks for all the suggestions!
We actually have been looking into the Novotel. We stayed at one in Montreal, and found it to be reasonable.
Plus it has underground parking.

All of these places are good.

I know you said you don't need one that is close to the Stadium, but the Renaissance Hotel that is right in the Dome was pretty cheap when I used Price line. They also bent over backwards when me and my pregnant gf got stuck in one of their elevators for 40 minutes. Bumped us up to a 1200 dollar a night bi level room, paid for our parking, meals and gave us complimentary room service. I tried to get them to pay for the Auto Show tickets, but the concierge said he couldn't do that.

Would have been awesome to watch a game in that room...

wow 40 minutes is a long time! good to see they took care of you.

We ended up booking a room at the Super 8 in Chinatown (we're travelling with another couple, and they are CHEAP, so this suited their needs).

If it's a crappy hotel, oh well. We won't actually be in our room for very long. We're driving out on a Friday, checking in, maybe a quick shower, then heading to the game. After the game, we'll be hitting some bars and such (bewbs?). After checkout on Saturday morning, we're heading over to Buffalo NY for the rest of the weekend (going to a Bills game on Sunday).

Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

I was going to say watch travelzoo.ca for their weekly top 20 before you leave, often they have 4 diamond hotels and suites on sale for like $89 a night and it includes dinner and breakfast.
