So while being at work this past thursday I was bored so I did some surfin' at good ol' craigslist. And I find a cheap carbon fiber hood for a contour....a 95-98 contour.....

Well not completly being a retard I noticed it's not a 95-98 hood it's a 98-00 hood. And gave the guy a call. And asked him for more pics so I could confirm. Then while waiting for a reply I searched the old archived forum, and found the thread talking about the "evo" hood groupbuy. And that there were only made for the 98-00 bodystyle and only approx. 20 made. And then came some pics of great fitment from what I saw. So my roommate & I tested fitted my stock hood in his integra, success a contour hood will fit in the back of a 2dr gsr. So after finally receiving the pics & him saying that they are really busy since they are a race shop.I told him I will buy it and that it'll go perfect on my 97 contour...haha

So we left this morning for our adventure to seattle....Showed up and wow....a full blown race shop? Come on, it was a little hole in the wall. Like it was the size of my old 2 car garage maybe....really it was just a little rice shop, that seems to buy all there stuff off ebay mainly and resell....

But non the less i bought the hood, and I just got back. And well here's a shot of the hood for now....

I'll take some pics of it on the car once my rims, and headlights from bagged get here....

well i only posted one pic...lol
and yea from what I've read I knew I had to jump on it....
but in the archive I read that mainly everybody got their hood...
 
holy :censored::censored::censored::censored: man...how did you just stumble across that?? That is seriously like a needle in a hay stack and being so close to you :shocked:.

Was it ever mounted and used??
 
i didnt think they were that rare:shrug: i've seen a few. the only one i ever liked was elky's. and its painted...most of it.

haha well it was brand new and never mounted. the shop had it in the box will all the bubble wrap still. I just saw it on craigslist and saw the shape and knew it was a 98-00 hood. So i got it. I'm happy with it.
I've only seen a handful of people with them so i'm happy i have it. I dont' like to follow the crowd. Hopefully the oem cf 98+ trunk will happen. I hate that nascar wannabe lip on the current cf trunk
 
thanks, i hoping it does. One day my car will be stock and the next day it'll have hightowered headlights, new rims, and the cf hood.....i can't wait.

To continue in pulling this thread off topic, I fit a double mattress in an Integra with the hatch closed. Was quite amazed actually.
