Okay so I recently put a subwoofer in my car. That, plus the box, plus the new trunk floor I made, plus the amps added a lot of weight in the trunk. It now looks as if I lowered the back, but not the front. Since it sounds like my passenger rear strut is going anyways, I think I should be doing a suspension update. Anyone know what my best bet would be to make the car look even considering I have a lot of extra weight in the back, but also without sacrificing the comfiness (to an extent obviously) of the ride since its a DD.

since the audio stuff in your trunk is constantly in there, then i'd just replace the rear struts with stock ones and get some coilovers for the fronts. handling might be a bit funky though. tight suspension in the front and not too tight in the rear... see what i'm saying?

how much weight does all of the audio add? I would just replace the rear struts for now.

I had a similar situation with my competition setup in the car.

H&R springs will lower the front more than the rear in a typical situation, but in my case replacing the stock suspension with the new springs and Koni struts raised the rear a little while lowering the front a lot. Overall the car looked very even front to back despite all the weight in the rear. It has been that way for 5 years now and the rear still does not sag.

Also, with the Konis, you can adjust them to full soft and the ride is great!! It was my DD and I drove long distances to stereo competitions all the time.

The box + sub = 50 lbs. , Each amp is 10 lbs. each, The new trunk floor..eh..30 lbs?
So roughly 100 lbs. sittin in the back.

Were they just the OEM springs?
