1st Mod: Headlight Sand

Hold my shield while I kick you off your high horse, your majesty.

who cares? its true, Does the modification in any way IMPROVE performance from factory components what so ever? Does it IMPROVE the astehetic properties of the car?

Thats like saying changing your oil is a mod, do you ever see performance magazines listing "wetsanded headlights" as a modification?

im not trying to put the guy down, he did a great job restoring his headlights, why cant I say the truth to people without getting my head bit off? Christ.

Do you mod your own car or does everyone do it for you?

Just wondering.

lets see, bought a dead zetec contour, replaced the timing belt with a friend's help, brought it back to life... Did a FULL suspension swap BY MYSELF with no addtional help, or power tools for that matter, Replaced Disc and drum brakes more times than I can count, did a full SVT brake swap and Rear disc conversion with SS brake lines on my zetec contour, mounted plenty of tires to rims, done plenty of paint work, built hightower headlights multiple times, Air intake, Valve cover paint along with gaskets, I have assisted in about 7 motor pulls and swaps, had to pull the motor out of my SVT TWICE to replace the trans TWICE (of course with the help of friends).

Yeah, I would say I am slightly mechanically inclined.

thats enough guys, quit cluttering this thread or infractions will be given

to the op nice job on the lights:cool:

Im pretty sure headlights that don't looks like :censored::censored::censored::censored: improve aesthetic properties of the car...but im probably wrong.

Like I said, over factory, factory those lights would look fantastic, father time and mother nature beat those headlights with an ugly stick, he cleaned them up and did a damn good job at it.

Again, I point out a fact and get my head bit off, sorry for not being a backstabbing liar.

wet sanding headlights = Maintenance, not a modification.

Looks nice though

Sorry I usually let this go but I remember when you were a newbie once Alias and it looks like someone needs to use a dictionary!

Modification (according to dictionary.com) is the act of making something different. Now unless I have temporary blindness those lights appear different to me, therefore they would be classified as a modification. That is all, oh yeah schismatized welcome to CEG try not to let the haters pull you down.

I do believe bagged was saying that the bickering should stop and I suggest that it does.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I didn't meant to start a war hehe. I think I'm going to bake them open next and remove the orange and also clean from the inside of the lens. It will be a little scary putting them in the oven. Wish me luck haha.

There are instructions for this if you haven't seen them already, I think in the M&M section.

Lights look much better, it's such a difference when you get used to seeing those nasty hazed headlights.

Ask Bagged for advice or pointers to the How-To (There should be one but it never applied to my model year so I never looked). Bagged cooks custom headlights like cookies.
