Hey,
Just grabbed my second 99 SVT, which will 95% be going to.........yes bagged. When you open up the back doors, there's some rust holes in the door sills, any ideas on the best way to fix it, fiberglass, sheet metal? What do you think?
Thanks,
Keith

You found an SVT here in the Ontario area? Wow... I havent seen many for sale at all.. Nice job. As for patching, how much can you afford to spend? Do you want it done right or just done?

best way to fix .... cut out all rusted areas and weld in fresh metal, prep and paint.

If the holes are small, I'd save some time and use some rust converter. It turns the rust back into metal and in sandable. Then bondo, sand, prime and paint. Should look good.

Thanks for the input guys, gonna probably go with a little sheet metal. As for SVT's in Ontario, just gotta keep a close eye everyday on the classified's. There out there, snag em while you can. Cheers.

I just feel bad for the amount of salt you folks have to deal with. Cars pretty much melt out there if driven year round

Gotta love the winter beater market though!

Fluid Film

Fluid Film

I'll put in my plug for "Fluid Film" rust preventative again (no connection).

It is lanolin from sheep and I spray it everywhere under car inside panels etc. Prevents/stops rust.

Used on oil rigs in the sea. Safe to use. Also a good leather preservative for seats and a decent hand cream.

Need to use an undercoating sprayer. Google it, ebay it.
