I'm as ignorant as it gets when dealing with suspension. I never really looked into this area before (besides the last hour I spent searching for answers and advice). Basically, I am going to update my suspension since my drivers front spring is sagging (sits an inch lower than the passenger side).

I decided to go with the Bat Euro Kit, and want to update some other things as well. I have a couple questions.

1. I am going to be getting new Front sway bar links. The drivers side link is wore out, and the passengers side I'm sure is gonna be coming up soon. I have seen 2 versions, the "stock" version and the alloy version from bat. Is there any benefits to the alloy version? I read somewhere that Ford only sells the alloy version now.

2. My tires wear pretty even. I believe I read that if they are wearing properly now, they will most likely ride fine after, or it was the opposite of that. A little clarification please. So if the Camber/caster kit is required, does that take the place of the upper strut mount? (ie, I use the Camber/Caster kit or I use the upper strut mount). Regardless it will be brought to a shop to get a 4-wheel alignment.

3. I also noticed on Bat's site, a rotating bearing. Needless to say, what's this and should it be replaced.

Be kind (to a point, but heckle away), suspensions are not in my knowledge base. Thanks for your time.

Let's see..

Forget the camber/caster kit. The BAT kit is close enough to factory specs that it won't be needed.

The rotating bearing goes under the strut mount, so you can turn the steering wheel. If you can swing it, replace those too. Only the fronts, obviously - the rears don't have any.

The alloy links are the new and improved OEM spec. Better, stronger, lighter. Get those.

Wow, if only my girlfriend could be straight to the point like that...

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I'll be able to do everything I want well within what I was willing to spend. I appreciate it.

the alloy links are nice and all but if money is tight, theres no reason to splurge.

and ditto on the camber kits. I think there garbage, your so much better off without them.

your probably also due for the sway bar end links in back. might want to replace those as well.

You will love the B.A.T. Kit so much. Especially if your looking to have it very close to stock feel but a bit more aggressive!

I wanted a lot more aggressive so Im getting myself a GC/Koni Kit! Just awaiting for some of the stuff to come in....
